Since Year 1988, with the very beginning of democratic changes in Russia Nadezhda Kopytina has been in private business undertaking. In Year 1993 together with her parents she started a number of companies importing FMCG. In November of Year 1994 thanks to company Vicunai interested in developing crabsticks distribution in Russia Nadezhda Kopytina founded company Salmon specialized is sales of frozen sea delicacies that later on has become the core of Ledovo Group. At the present time Ledovo Group unites 6 sales and production companies and is recognized as one of the leading Russian companies on the market of frozen foodstuff.

Together with the main activity she is a famous patroness and a public figure. The personal  characteristics of Nadezhda Kopytina as the successful managing leader are highly appreciated by National jury of prize "Business of a Year" arranged by company Ernst and Young. In Year 2003 within the international program “Entrepreneur Of The Year Award” she was the first in the history of the Russian business winner in the nomination “The Best Businesslady”. In Year 2005 she was marked among 50 the most successful business ladies according the magazine “Finance”. In October 2005 the president of Ledovo Group was in the rating of the most professional managers, leaders in their branches and functional directions compiled within limits of the mutual project of Russian Manager Association and publishing house "Commercant". In March 2005 to the version of the magazine “Finance" Nadezhda Kopytina was in TOP-50 the most successful business ladies of Russia. In March 2006 the head of Ledovo Group was marked among the most successful and influential business ladies of Russia carried by competent Russian magazines “Finance”, “Company” and “Career”.
